I love the work of Seattle Swank!  They stage all of BP’s homes and do such a great job.  Their attention to detail always amazes me.  I had some time at the end of this shoot so I broke out the 50mm and played around with some detail shots.

Progression

Many cringe when they think of HDR photography, especially when you’re applying it toward a genre like Interiors and Real Estate where the expectation is that images will look realistic and inviting.  HDR, if you’re not careful, can easily get away from you – colors can be garish, walls smudgy, windows unreal.  I was no exception.

I was working on a project today that forced me to review old images in my archive and I literally LOL’d as I pulled up some of my first attempts at HDR for Real Estate.  Thought I’d share my journey with you here.  :)

In my (software) “toolbox”

With the glut of products available to digital photographers it can be overwhelming determining what to spend your money on.  Which programs are necessary and which are just nice to have?  Which programs are worth the money?  Which are worth the free download?

I don’t claim to know every product out there but here’s a list of what I use.

New work

Did you know that I’m still alive?  I forgive if you if you’ve written me (and my little blog) off.  You really should come back, though.  I have lots to write about in the upcoming weeks!

For now, check out my New Work Portfolio!

This gallery is a collection of my favorite images shot this past quarter. Take a look and let me know what you think!
