A dumb, but true story:

When I was little I thought her name was Diane Argus.  Embarrassingly it wasn’t until recently (as in within the past five years) that I had realized my mistake.  Oops.

So today, in honor of one of the most provocative and misnomered photographers of yesteryear,  I present the newest member of the family, Diane the Argus:

I love the work of Seattle Swank!  They stage all of BP’s homes and do such a great job.  Their attention to detail always amazes me.  I had some time at the end of this shoot so I broke out the 50mm and played around with some detail shots.

Words

Considering the current status of this project, contemplating taking on this other project is probably ridiculous but I have to say… A year with the Bronny and some Tri-X is really appealing to me right now.

Photo-6

I had spent the afternoon and evening in Belltown working and wining (wine, not whine). The weather had been really nice all day, surprisingly, and Belltown-ers were in high spirits. I hopped on the bus to head home and saw this guy and wanted to capture it for my “Things I see on the bus” series. As I’m snapping I feel a tap on my shoulder and turn to face the hugest grin I’ve ever seen a stranger direct toward me. She introduced herself as The_April and we laughed about the fact that we were both capturing BalloonBoy for our flickr streams! Here’s what she took.

I’m a little behind on my scanning. That’s 32 rolls of film! Proof that I haven’t given up entirely on this project.

Hey, I took a picture today!

My never ending fascination with film has led me to this: a Polaroid back for my Bronica. I’ll write more about it in my other blog. Maybe. If I ever decide to update that blog again. Heh.
