Want to be my neighbor?
Earlier this week I noticed a For Sale sign out in front of my neighbor’s house and, being the nosey neighbor that I am, popped in to the Brokers Open last Thursday. I met listing agent, Steve Lamb of Lake & Company Real Estate and, after chatting and seeing the house, we set up a time for me to do a quick Property Video. The house is pretty amazing and you should buy it! Not only will you get to live in one of the greatest neighborhoods in Seattle but you’ll get to meet Astrid, the Wonder Dog! What more could you ask for?
Property videos for Everyone!
I’d like to dispel the idea that Property Videos are only effective for the grand, multi-million dollar homes. I believe that, just like professional photography, professional video is effective at marketing any sized home. The house I blogged about recently is a modest 1,120 sq ft, two bedroom, one bathroom home. Here’s what I created for it. Hope you enjoy!

I’ve been so consumed with video the past few weeks (shooting, editing, writing about, blogging about OBSESSING about…) that I completely forgot about my big announcement! Oops.
So here it is: I’d like to present my all new Facebook Fan Page and YouTube Channel! I’ve been working with Graphic Designer and Online Marketing Genius, Amanda MacFarland, who’s been helping me design my overall brand for Malia Campbell Photography (she also designed my Video Rate Sheet). I’m pretty happy with the results, what do you think?
I’ll be using these sites to update you with new projects and offering special Facebook Friends Only deals and discounts from time to time (currently offering 15% discount on Property Videos to Facebook fans for shoots booked by May 15th) so “like” my page and be sure to check back often!
The “Afters”
I’ve been working with Beachworks, LLC on some Before and After projects for a couple months now and, I have to say, this is quickly becoming one of my favorite ongoing projects. It amazes me to see how they’re transforming these houses!
Here’s one the other day – I shot the “befores” only about a month ago and already the house is done! And it looks amazing!

Property Video rates
One of the most common questions among photographers (of any genre) is regarding rates: What do you charge?
Ironically (or perhaps what drives this is) one of the most tightly held secrets among photographers is regarding rates: What do I charge?
The Real Estate Photography (and Real Estate Videography) community is pretty tight-knit (which is rare in this industry) so, since this question comes up almost daily, I’ll step up and talk about it.
